Eric Chan retired from the NYPD after 25 years of service, with experience in patrol, community policing, field training, and plainclothes operations. He worked in the Auto Crime Division as an undercover detective, then in the Organized Crime Investigation Division and Criminal Enterprise Investigation Section. After retiring, he joined the Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor as a detective, later becoming a criminal investigator for the New Jersey State Police. Currently, he is a Senior Investigator for the Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s Office of NYC, working alongside the NYPD, DEA, and other federal agencies. Eric has been an active member of the NYPD Asian Jade Society for over 15 years, serving on its Executive Board. He is also a member of NAPOA, where he has held several roles, including Sergeant at Arms, Treasurer, and currently serves as 3rd Vice President.
